- Delivery to Hotraco:
For every product you wish to return, a digital Hotraco RMA form should be completed in full. The ticket ID number, as displayed on the confirmation screen after submitting the form digitally, must be clearly displayed on the packaging of the returned product. Products received by us without a prior digital RMA form completed and without the ticket ID number clearly indicated on the packaging will not be accepted. The digital RMA form is available on this website.
- Packing:
All items for repair or return should be packed separately and adequately so that they can be accepted. Unsound-packed items will be refused. We will NOT be responsible for damaged items resulting from unsound packaging.
- Handling costs:
For items sent for repair that are found not to be defective or working, we will charge handling costs of at least € 60,00 per product. If a repair is found not worthwhile or if the item is not repairable, providing that a new replacement item is ordered, we will NOT charge you for research costs.
Unreliable items, not worthwhile repairing, or not repairable will be disposed of at Hotraco.
- Warranty:
Our warranty period deviates from the warranty period mentioned in the METAALUNIECONDITIONS (6 months warranty), being 1 year after delivery by Hotraco, and applies to all our devices (the dispatch date is
leading). However, the warranty is never applicable when the defect is caused by external factors such as an unreliable power supply, improper use, weather conditions, improper storage, or mounting or installation faults. If a warranty claim is made for defective devices, we need you to send them to Hotraco, postage prepaid. Replacement products sent to you in advance will be charged to you as usual. After we have checked the defective device, we will decide whether the warranty applies. In case the product can be repaired sensibly, it will be returned to you*.
*The customer is only entitled to a replacement free of charge when repair is not possible or not worthwhile, and provided that the warranty is applicable. A product that has been replaced and has been determined to be unrepairable will become the property of Hotraco. If the warranty period has expired and the product can be repaired, we will charge you for the repair costs.
When a defect is discovered, we urge you to notify us in writing. If a defect is not announced, we are discharged from all obligations. The defective products need to be completed and sent to us immediately, after digitally filling out an RMA form, and postage prepaid.
Warranty is not applicable in case of:
Normal wear, improper use, lack of maintenance, or incorrect maintenance and
modifications to or repair of the devices by the customer or third parties.
The warranty period on a repaired item is 3 months. The dispatch date (return date Hotraco to the customer) is the leading one.
Hotraco products older than 10 years (see production date on print) can no longer be offered for repair.
- Lightning damage/water damage/overload:
Products that have been struck by lightning, damaged by water, or subjected to an electrical overload/discharge will not be repaired. Moreover, a warranty is never applicable in these cases.
In all cases where these conditions do not meet, the Metaalunie conditions apply
